Once you register for the Hope & Heroes Walk, you will automatically be sent an email with a link you to your personal fundraising page. Your fundraising page is a great way to ask your family, friends & colleagues to support you. Share your story about why you are involved with the Walk and personalize your page by adding text, pictures, and video. Once it’s ready, share your page via email and social media with everyone you know.

Once your personal fundraising page is complete, you can begin the process of raising funds for the Walk. Here are some of the popular ways – but there’s no limit on what you can do to fundraise. The sky’s the limit!
Form a Walk team: A Walk team is a group of family, friends, and supporters who come together to participate in the Walk. Teams are led by a Team Captain or Co-Captains, and there is no limit on the number of people that can join.
A Walk team brings a tremendous boost to your fundraising efforts. Money raised by team members will count towards the overall team total! Walk teams can also plan fun activities to foster camaraderie and unity and host fundraisers to solicit donations.
Create a Facebook Fundraiser: A Facebook fundraiser is a great way to connect your online network of friends, colleagues, etc. to Hope & Heroes and Columbia’s life-saving work for children with cancer and blood disorders. Your supporters can donate right on your Facebook page, and they can share the fundraiser with their network too.
Secure matching funds: Every company has its unique requirements so check with your Human Resources Department and ask for a matching gift form. Make sure you include your name and team name, if applicable so that we can apply the match correctly. The completed form can be mailed to Hope & Heroes, 161 Fort Washington Ave., IP-7, NY, NY 10032 or emailed to Info@HopeandHeroesWalk.org.

Set a goal: Setting a fundraising goal helps you keep track of your efforts and encourages others to donate. It's important to remember that as your fundraising grows, so can your goal. If you are a returning walker, push yourself (or your team) to set a higher fundraising goal than last year. If you are new to the Hope & Heroes Walk, we suggest you set a goal of at least $200.00. We will have fundraising challenges and rewards for you along the way as your fundraising progresses.
