2018 Walk

Team Zoey

Welcome To Team Zoey’s Page!

Zoey is a 9-year-old young, sweet girl who recently was diagnosed with a rare type of malignant tumor.  In February 2018, our family received this terrible news.  This may come as a surprise to you like it did to us, but Zoey was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma. This is a type of sarcoma cancer that involves the soft tissue, involving striated muscle tissue. She had surgery to remove the mass in March and luckily the cancer did not spread.  Unfortunately, she has to undergo treatment once a week for precautionary reasons.

Many of our close family and friends are actively involved and are supportive of Hope & Heroes at Columbia University Medical Center.

We are thrilled to be a part of the 9th Annual Hope & Heroes Walk on Sunday, May 20th, 2018 to support children with cancer and blood disorders and their families.

With your help, Hope & Heroes can continue supporting the patients, programs, and research at the Division of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology & Stem Cell Transplantation at Columbia University Medical Center. The Division, located at NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital, is one of the largest and most distinguished centers for children with cancer and blood disorders in the country. They are depending on us to make sure their unique programs are available to all the children they treat and that their scientists keep working until they find a cure.

Please give as generously as you can - or consider joining our team and walking with us.

The Walk takes place at beautiful Pier 84 (West 44th St. at the Hudson River) and is an inspiring and fun day for the whole family.

Please come walk with Team Zoey if you can!

Love always,

Team Zoey
