Pediatric Cancer Trial Blazers
We are thrilled to be a part of the 10th Annual Hope & Heroes Walk on Sunday, May 19th, 2019!
Team Pediatric Cancer Trial Blazers supports the Clinical Research Program for children with cancer at Columbia University Medical Center. Clinical trials in Pediatric Cancer continue to be a key factor in progress toward better treatment, and the significant advances in the success of treatment of pediatric cancer have come, in part, from the high participation rate of patients in such studies. Remarkable progress has been made in the past three decades, as now more than 75% of children diagnosed with cancer today will be long-term survivors. However, we cannot stop here! Our program is committed to improving survival rates, and developing more effective and less toxic treatment for children with cancer.
Our Clinical Research Program is also home to our Developmental Therapeutics Program, which offers over 30 clinical trials to children for whom standard therapies have failed, and our Precision Medicine Program, which enables every child in New York City to have their tumor sequenced regardless of their ability to pay. To continue to offer these cutting edge programs we need your help, as tomorrow's advances require an investment today!
Donate today and help make a difference. Consider joining our team and walking with us! The Walk is an inspiring & fun day with incredible energy that brings together patients, survivors, families, friends, doctors, nurses, co-workers, and neighbors - it’s truly not to be missed.
Thank you again. Together we will help children today and save lives tomorrow.
