Why we walk...

Ending childhood cancer and blood disorders is possible, together. Hank is a SURVIVOR! We are eternally grateful, and lucky. Our hope for all families contending with childhood illnesses is a strong, healthy future. That’s why I joined the board of directors, and why we, as a family, are participating in the 11th Annual Hope & Heroes Walk on Sunday, September 26, 2021. And that’s why we need your help.
Hank was successfully treated at Columbia University Medical Center. The care he received saved his life. Hope & Heroes funds the life-saving work on childhood cancer and blood disorders at CUMC – including cutting-edge research, the newest and most advanced treatments, support for families, and care that always puts children first. Columbia is home to the largest and most comprehensive pediatric oncology & blood disorder programs in the country, treating over 1,500 patients a year. Funding from Hope & Heroes also ensures that every child, regardless of their ability to pay, gets the very best care.
