Fundraising Honor Roll

On Sunday January 17th, I'll be running the Louisiana Marathon in Baton Rouge.  Jason Keschner and I are hoping to raise $1000 for Hope & Heroes, a charity that's important to both of us and that funds the lifesaving work on childhood cancer and blood disorders at Columbia University Medical Center.  Funding from Hope & Heroes ensures that every kid who comes through its doors has access to the newest and most advanced treatments available in the U.S.  Since 2002, Hope & Heroes has raised approximately $3.5 million per year to provide personalized medicine tailored specifically for each patient, bone marrow and stem cell transplant treatments, and the latest chemotherapy and radiation oncology regimens.

This past summer Jason was diagnosed with a mediastinal tumor, a cancerous tumor in his chest.  After months of chemotherapy and a successful surgery to remove his tumor, Jason is now cancer-free and has fully recovered!  We want to show our support for Hope & Heroes, the doctors that helped Jason recover, and especially the brave kids that are currently fighting cancer.

Thank you for choosing to support me and Jason's fund to raise money for Hope & Heroes.
