In lieu of presents for our wedding, Bill and Angie ask that you donate to Columbia University Medical Center’s Hope & Heroes, in memory of Angie’s father, Franklin D. Thompson. Frank died of sickle cell anemia in on September 17, 1999, at the age of 51. He was fortunate enough to have access to the best doctors and medicine from a very young age and lived 30+ years longer than doctors assumed.
Your donation will go to help kids like Frank that aren’t fortunate enough to afford this level of care. Hope & Heroes ensures that every child they treat receives the highest caliber of care—regardless of families’ ability to pay. Hope and heroes funds the life saving work on childhood cancer and blood disorders at Columbia University Medical Center – including cutting edge research, support for families and care that puts children first.
Angie and Bill know that donating any amount of money is a personal decision and will not keep tally of how much is donated by each person. So please do not feel obligated to give. We appreciate your support.
