January 17th, 1992 was the happiest day of my life; my son, Edward was born.  He was a wonderful son and a great friend to many. I cannot begin to list the endless memories I have of my son but I will always cherish them. Although he is not with me physically, I know he will always be with me in spirit.     

Edward battled with Ewing sarcoma for 3 years until August 26th where he entered into eternal rest. 

His wish would be to find a cure to end this horrible disease that takes many children's lives. 

I want to thank his wonderful doctor, Julia Glade Bender. She was not only his doctor but our friend, who was always available to us. She helped me thru this battle and I will forever be grateful for having her in our lives. Rebecca and the team at Columbia were amazing and I thank them for their kindness. At our request, Hope & Heroes will direct all funds to Dr. Bender's Developmental Therapeutics Program.
