More than 2,500 children die of cancer every year. And for us, that is too many. Even with impressive advances in the cure rate for pediatric cancers, it remains the #1 disease killer of children. With only 4% of national funding for cancer research designated for childhood cancers, a considerable funding gap exists for the research needed to find cures and better treatments. That’s where we come in.
Hope & Heroes provides critical funding for the Division of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology & Stem Cell Transplantation at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Our work ensures that children in treatment at Columbia receive the best treatment experience possible, and we also support cutting-edge research that will help children everywhere.
